Google is Killing AI Content
Here's why you should care
I’m calling it - AI content is bullshit, and you will not be able to hold the results you’re seeing with your SERPs for long.
Let me explain.
Ever since chatGPT and AI-driven content writing tools have entered the space, there’s been a swarm of content on the internet, and it’s only getting worse and worse.
Eventually, Google will punish these writers for it - as it did in March - by traffic-throttling not just your AI-written content, but your more thoughtful content as well.
And it’s not worth it.
@neilpatel’s article covering this topic is insane, and it only drives home my point further:

There’s a few different things that are fundamentally wrong with AI-gen content:
Clear-cut plagiarism
Lack of communication
Quantity over Quality
Loading Google with un-related articles left, right, and center
Any good article contains:
A great structure and flow
A human’s proper thought process
Imperfect
Time is factored in and you can tell
You can tell with just a glance whether a certain piece of content is written by AI. But some people still like to give AI credit.

While some are super cautious with it:

Some even got caught in the crossfire:

In the end, we all know that Google is going to rank helpful content. That’s all it has ever been about.
For all we know, AI-content does NOT work. Pursue at your own risk.
