Stitches Are The BEST Social Media Growth Hack

Don't ignore that little hack while you're doomscrolling

Napster.com was Spotify before Spotify even existed. Also it was illegal, possibly why it got shut down.

One of the ways it grew to INSANE lengths is through remixes (what the Instagram generation now calls ‘stitch‘)

Example: people would tie in popular songs to the intro of their own songs on Napster, and when you’d click on it thinking it’s an original song, thirty seconds in, it changes to the artist’s song. Songspk users know what I’m taking about : )

And in my opinion, it is one of the best growth hacks that you can use for your social, when done smartly.

@MilesSmithUK is doing this brilliantly with his latest release:

12 reels. 65Mn+ views. One simple hack, that’s really not even a hack at this point.

Let’s go one level deeper and do a breakdown on this:

  1. Have a great/catchy product

Miles’ song Stargazing is addictive, and you don’t mind it blasting in your ear over and over again.

  1. Find a relevant service/product that already has MASSIVE traction

Most of the videos Miles stitches to his videos are videos that the audience can:

a) Relate to

b) Find it relevant to the stitched video

c) Enjoy without friction

  1. Repeat Step 2 as many times as possible

So if you were to copy this, what should you focus on first?

a) Find as many more pieces of evidence of this experiment as possible (Loop me in too!!)

Once you start seeing it, you’ll notice it everywhere

b) Listen to stargazing :)

c) Get to work!!
