5 Ads That DON'T Suck

Let’s face it. Ads are everywhere now - from the water bottles you use to the music you listen to (I still hate you Spotify)

And they’re super annoying

And they’re all the same kind.

But every once in a while, you come across an Ad that’s so unlike an ad that you just look at it and go “yep, stealing that one“ - that is an amazing feeling - finding a good Ad

Well, I’m here to take that feeling, and multiply that times five. Here’s five great ads that don’t suck butt. Let’s get right into it

1) Foodora’s Ad Creatives

Foodora is one Europe’s largest food delivery apps, and their creatives show exactly why: psychopathically hungry users :)

It’s a brilliant take on how to make your static ads stand out in an age where everything is video-first. McDonald’s did it first, but this one’s cool too

2) teamwork.com’s The Client

A client’s unnecessary demands, and how teams can tackle them better - but make it a horror movie.

That’s exactly what @teamwork did - and it is hilarious, relatable, and share-worthy. All the components of a great ad.

3) EVERYTHING by The Whole Truth

A bunch of men in their underwear talking to you about healthy snack bars?

@OldSpice x Black Riffle Coffee = The Whole Truth’s Ad Campaigns. Funny, engaging, and clever brand positioning.

I honestly believe that if go through each of The Whole Truth’s ads, and try recreating them for your own product, you will end up with a better product, and superior ads.

4) Anything by Old Spice

Just follow @OldSpice if you’re a creative marketer. You’ll learn so much more about Advertising and Human Behaviour than any Marketing MBA out there.

5) @Duolingo’s Twitter Page

It’s a unhinged person in an owl costume terrorizing the entire internet. Need I say more

One BIG ask from me: Like this post and leave your thoughts on it, on my newsletter :)

Helps me build better stuff for you guys
