I'm Stealing Central Houston Nissan's TikTok Account
Some businesses get social media.
Businesses often shoot themselves in the foot trying to establish brand on social media.
They’re scratching their heads, trying get on the bandwagon, to figure out how to really appeal to the next generation.
“Afterall, Duolingo did it. How hard could it be?”
Pretty fcking difficult, if you don’t do it right. I could never crack it with Fieldproxy. We could never really scale beyond a few thousand impressions, and for the longest time struggled with it.
Sometimes some businesses just don’t have it:
The right creative wits
Board approval
Execution
Audience traction
Other companies straight up KILL it. Case in point: Central Houston Nissan (@CHoustonNissan)
In one of my posts, I talked about what companies should NOT be doing with their social accounts.
The guys at @CHoustonNissan do just the opposite. Super grippy, funny as fck, and amazing CTAs
The one on the right did over 5Mn+ views on Instagram alone. If you don’t understand why, you need to do more A/B Testing :)
Some Indian brands also execute this kind of a stitch-and-promote strategy, and it works so so well for them - MyMuse and Zepto do dozens of variations of these
I’ve said it many times, I’ll say it again. Stitches are amazing for social.
Create the illusion of familiarity by using hyper-popular meme templates
Fast-paced information load
Capture attention, retain it
Try some out over the weekend. Heck, who knows, maybe I’ll go join a car retailer and create @CHoustonNissan in Chennai :)
Money is amazing,
